Job summary

The Toronto District School Board is seeking a Manager of Procurement Services to lead procurement across Operations and/or Facilities. This permanent role reports to the Senior Manager of Procurement and Support Services and requires ensuring cost-effective, ethical acquisitions in line with policies and directives.

Qualifications

• University degree in a related discipline with six years’ progressively responsible management experience in procurement and contract management.
• Professional designation such as SCMP/CPPB/CPPO or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of public procurement procedures, bidding processes and codes of conduct within the public sector.
• Familiarity with OPS/BPS procurement directives, trade agreements, and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the procurement team reporting to the Senior Manager of Procurement and Support Services.
• Provide guidance on procurement strategies, plans and best practices to meet organizational goals.
• Collaborate to develop RFPs, RFQs, RFTs, RFIs and other competitive procurement processes.
• Negotiate, implement, and manage contracts with vendors to ensure value and alignment with priorities.
• Develop and manage procurement policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with TDSB policies and risk management procedures.
