Job summary

The Town of Taber is seeking a procurement professional to join the Corporate Services team and support procurement, contract management, and vendor relations for goods, services, and select construction projects.

Applicants should have education in supply chain/finance or related designation and relevant procurement experience, with strong communication skills and a client‑focused approach to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or designation with 1+ year procurement experience in a similar complexity.
• Experience with RFx development, contract drafting, and supplier management.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication; maintains confidentiality.
• Ability to work across departments, with external vendors and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Conduct procurement activities in a fair, open, and transparent manner.
• Deliver comprehensive procurement services to all Town departments across lifecycle.
• Develop sourcing strategies and provide guidance throughout RFx, evaluation, and award.
• Collaborate with departments to optimize contracts and negotiate value-added opportunities.
• Oversee contract administration, record management, and vendor performance issues.
