Job summary

Leduc County is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join the Finance department and support procurement services across the organization. You will administer policies, guide contracts, RFIs and tenders, and mentor staff to ensure consistent, compliant procurement practices.

The role requires five years of procurement experience, ideally in the public sector, with strong communication skills and a professional procurement designation or related degree.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in procurement, preferably public sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers procurement policies and procedures.
• Coordinates procurement processes including contracts, RFPs, RFQs and tenders.
• Collaborates with county departments and suppliers to improve procurement practices.
• Trains staff on procurement processes and ensures compliance.
• Develops performance metrics for procurement and supports special projects.
