Job summary

Ian Martin Group is seeking a Procurement Advisor for a 1-year contract focusing on Mine and Tailings capital projects in Calgary or Fort McMurray. The role is paid at CAD 73 per hour with potential classification variations depending on the candidate.

You will lead sourcing, RFx events, supplier evaluations, and negotiations, while coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of related professional experience.
• Proven sourcing, procurement execution and negotiations.
• Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing RFx processes, supplier evaluations and award recommendations.
• Understanding of purchase order lifecycle and risk mitigation.
• Experience using SAP, Fieldglass, Ariba, MyTrack and spend analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of materials and services for Mine and Tailings capital projects.
• Lead RFx events and supplier evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and supply arrangements to optimize value and mitigate risk.
• Oversee end-to-end PO lifecycle including requisitions, change management and expediting.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet schedules and budgets.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
