Job description

4GLOBAL is a data, services and software company that partners with governments, cities, operators and sports bodies to maximise return on investment in sport and physical activity programmes. Our strength lies in leveraging proprietary data, technology and strategic expertise to help clients boost participation and deliver measurable health, social and economic outcomes.

We operate through two core business units:

  • Sport Bodies: Supporting international, national and regional federations to develop strategy, assess impact and strengthen governance and performance.
  • Operators: Partnering with leisure operators, local authorities and delivery providers to grow participation and improve outcomes through data‑led decisions.

Our clients include governments, cities, and sporting federations all committed to tackling inactivity and increasing participation. Within the region, our current partners include Canadian Tire Jumpstart, Canadian Olympic Committee, Future of Hockey Lab, U.S. Soccer, and the Aspen Institute.

Our vision is to create a world where data‑driven decision‑making transforms how communities engage with sport and activity, guiding more targeted investment and driving improved population health.

To support this, we’ve built a software platform that hosts one of the world’s largest curated activity datasets, powering many of our insights and recommendations.

  • Advising on how physical activity can drive social and economic change.
  • Designing and evaluating strategies and interventions that activate people and places.
  • Helping clients embed digital transformation and system‑wide improvement.
  • Providing SaaS tools that integrate data from leisure systems, wearables, healthcare, and community programmes.

This enables clients to:

  • Predict outcomes of sport and physical activity investments.
  • Benchmark the impact of new initiatives.
  • Analyse behaviours and participation trends.
  • Target groups to maximise programme reach and impact.
  • Identify key drivers of participation locally and nationally.

We support clients worldwide, with offices in London, Miami, and Toronto.

Hours: Full‑time

Contract Type: Fixed‑Term – 24 months

Travel: Occasional travel across Canada for stakeholder meetings and workshops

Salary: CAD 75k – 85k per annum

4GLOBAL is seeking an experienced Strategic Partnership Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery and growth of our work in Canada.

Based within our key client’s Toronto office, you will act as the central liaison between 4GLOBAL and wider sector partners, ensuring successful delivery of our sports participation platform (InsightOS – Canada) while driving engagement, adoption, and long‑term value creation.

This is a dynamic role combining partnership management, stakeholder engagement, data‑driven strategy, and commercial growth. You will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the InsightOS – Canada initiative by aligning delivery milestones with partner objectives and identifying new opportunities for collaboration, expansion, and commercial growth.

In this role, you will:

Partnership Delivery & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the day‑to‑day representative of 4GLOBAL within the Jumpstart office, acting as the primary liaison for InsightOS‑Canada.
  • Manage key relationships with Jumpstart, Canadian sport organisations, ministries, and sector partners.
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple project phases – planning, build, onboarding, and expansion.
  • Support workshops, consultations, and presentations with partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between project milestones, partner expectations, and delivery outputs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Ecosystem Growth
  • Drive adoption of InsightOS‑Canada by supporting onboarding of sport organisations and data partners.
  • Engage new stakeholders to demonstrate value, build trust, and expand participation across the sport sector.
  • Translate complex data concepts into clear, value‑driven narratives for non‑technical audiences.
Data Literacy & Insight Communication
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non‑technical teams, ensuring data insights are clearly understood and applied by partners.
  • Demonstrate confidence in discussing data‑driven approaches, metrics, and methodologies at a high level with stakeholders.
  • Field initial data‑related queries, explaining key concepts (e.g. participation trends, data integration, benchmarking) in an accessible and compelling way.
  • Collaborate with 4GLOBAL’s data and technology teams to translate partner needs into actionable data or reporting requirements.
Commercial Development & Upselling
  • Identify new opportunities for collaboration and value‑add services across the sport and recreation ecosystem.
  • Work with the 4GLOBAL leadership team to propose and scope additional projects, pilots, and data initiatives.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by nurturing relationships that lead to upselling and cross‑sector expansion.
  • Oversee local coordination of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including stakeholder feedback and performance tracking.
  • Provide local insight and intelligence to shape strategy and partnership priorities.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in partnership management, client success, business development, or strategic account management.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian sport ecosystem and key funding/participation frameworks.
  • Data literate, with the ability to interpret insights and confidently discuss data‑related concepts and methodologies with partners and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing high‑profile stakeholder relationships, ideally in the sport, public, or data/tech sectors.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility at senior levels.
  • Experience working on cross‑functional projects and teams involving data, digital tools, or insight platforms.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and commercially aware.
  • Comfortable working independently while representing an international organisation locally.
  • Experience in consulting, government, or not‑for‑profit sectors.
  • Understanding of data governance, digital transformation, or insight‑led planning in sport or public sector contexts.
