Job summary

Cannabismarketspace seeks an experienced Operations Manager to work directly with the Chief Operating Officer. This hands-on role starts by shadowing the COO to learn systems, processes, and priorities, then gradually takes ownership of day-to-day responsibilities and cross-functional initiatives across the company.

The objective is to strengthen the operational leadership team, improve accountability and execution, and allow the COO to focus more on strategic growth and leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in operations, business operations, or similar roles.
• Strong project-management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working directly with senior leadership.
• Ability to follow up with managers and meet deadlines.
• Ability to understand complex systems and processes quickly.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proactive mindset with a team-oriented, low-ego approach.

Responsibilities

• Shadow the COO to learn overall operations.
• Learn systems, processes, and workflows across the organization.
• Coordinate operational projects across multiple departments.
• Track priorities, deadlines and commitments.
• Ensure action items are completed with follow-up.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with implementing new systems and integrations.
• Provide regular updates and operational summaries for decision-making.
• Document important processes and procedures.
• Improve communication between departments.
• Take ownership of routine operational issues and resolve them quickly.
