Job summary

Morguard is seeking a Manager, Facilities Management to provide strategic leadership across Canada for facilities management, procurement, and preventive maintenance. The role collaborates with regional operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant building operations for a national portfolio.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-rise facilities, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems, and experience with vendor management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a commercial high rise building operator in a facility with hydronic heating and cooling systems (or equivalent hands-on technical background).
• Thorough knowledge of building systems including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, BMS, Fire & Life Safety.
• Ability to read drawings and maintenance manuals; manage building system preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee national Facilities Management direction, procurement, and preventive maintenance programs across Morguard's portfolio.
• Ensure consistency of facilities standards across Canada and adapt to provincial requirements.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and service providers, and manage operating budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
• Provide guidance on building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance to regional teams.
• Support energy management initiatives and safety programs across the portfolio.
• Lead procurement and contract management programs and evaluate vendor submissions.
