Job summary

New Flyer in Winnipeg, MB is looking for a Master Scheduler to build an optimal schedule for bus line entries, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.

You will monitor KPIs, update business plans, run simulations, manage budgets, and lead cross-training within Scheduling. The role requires 5+ years in fast-paced manufacturing, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office; Oracle experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related discipline in operations management or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• High level of computer capabilities including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; Oracle experience is an asset.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Master Scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure proper documentation and review of risks, issues, concerns, and changes and provide feedback and resolutions.
• Evaluate the status of facilities and the supply chain.
• Update business plan to maintain bus line entry status, completion status, shipment status, and performance status.
• Update and monitor KPIs in relation to the Annual Operating Plan.
• Perform business plan simulations as required.
• Create simulations for ELT presentations.
• Lead cross training initiatives within the Scheduling group.
• Work with Scheduling to ensure process transparency and on-track execution.
• Ensure operational KPIs and OPEX are established and met.
• Create and analyze reports on departmental objectives and issues.
• Promote Health and Safety programs and develop a safer working environment.
• Maintain operational budgets for each production department and review results monthly.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet internal and external requirements.
