Job summary

University of Calgary is seeking a Full-time Limited Term Manager, Professional Development for ~24 months within the Faculty of Social Work. You will lead the professional development program, drive revenue generation, and coordinate with UCCED and external partners to deliver transformative learning experiences.

You will oversee contract development, marketing, and financial reporting, while mentoring a team and guiding strategic initiatives across faculties and community partners.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in social work or allied field is required.
• Master of Social Work is an asset and preferred.
• Minimum five years leading professional development in post-secondary settings.
• Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to develop revenue-generating programs and partnerships.
• Strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of the professional development program as part of revenue strategy.
• Lead marketing, branding, and communications for PD products and services.
• Manage service contracts with consultants, vendors, and partners.
• Coordinate with UCCED to align registration and revenue transfer.
• Provide leadership to the project team running PD programs.
• Develop and update the PD program pipeline and offerings.
• Coordinate market scans for PD opportunities generating revenue.
• Lead inter-faculty PD initiatives with partners like AHS and external firms.
• Prepare regular financial and performance reports for leadership.
• Mentor staff and project coordinators supporting PD strategy.
