Job summary

Swissport Canada is seeking a Labour and Employee Relations Manager to partner with leaders and provide expert guidance on labour and employee relations, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant practices across the organization.

The role reports to the Vice President, Human Resources and focuses on strengthening workplace relations, supporting operational leaders, and driving engagement while ensuring adherence to collective agreements and employment laws in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• CHRP designation strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Canadian labour and employment legislation; Canada Labour Code an asset.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply collective agreements and company policies.
• Guide on disciplinary matters and employee relations issues.
• Address union concerns and manage grievances; coordinate with union reps.
• Prepare for and participate in labour-management committees; support CBAs negotiations.
• Oversee complaint tracking and resolution across Canadian stations.
• Update and implement HR policies and procedures as required.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
