The position remains an employeeof the Lethbridge Police Service while working collaboratively within theCISA/NWT intelligence network.
The Strategic Intelligence Analyst is responsible forthe collection, integration, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination ofstrategic criminal intelligence relating to organized and serious crimeaffecting Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and Canada. The position developsintelligence products and analytical assessments that support intelligence-ledpolicing, operational priorities, resource allocation, organizationaldecision-making, investigative direction, and long-term public safety planning.
Working within a complex multi-agency environment, theStrategic Intelligence Analyst collaborates with municipal, provincial,federal, Indigenous, and government partners to identify emerging threats,organized crime groups, criminal networks, criminal markets, evolving crimetrends, and intelligence gaps requiring further collection or analysis.
