Job summary

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in criminology, justice, statistics or related fields.
• Minimum five years policing or government experience in crime analysis and research.
• Two years of direct crime analysis experience in policing or related analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support in collaboration with RCMP and City staff.
• Analyze crime data, identify networks, and make actionable recommendations.
• Prepare briefs, reports and statistics with supporting evidence.
• Develop and maintain information-sharing networks across jurisdictions.
• Support crime-reduction programs such as hotspot analysis and targeted enforcement.
• Present findings at seminars and training sessions.
