Job summary

RBC is seeking a Principal, Infrastructure Architecture to lead strategic direction for enterprise infrastructure. You will collaborate with IT, operations and business stakeholders, represent the architecture in governance reviews, and mentor teams across platforms including cloud, on‑prem, and AI tooling.

The role emphasizes resiliency, security, non‑functional requirements, and a long‑term technology strategy, with opportunities to influence multiple RBC businesses globally.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of enterprise experience defining infrastructure architecture with focus on resiliency and security.
• Experience across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and diverse tech stacks.
• Proficiency in SOA, REST and MDM; multi‑platform applications familiar.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic vision and architectural direction for enterprise infrastructure.
• Represent Infrastructure Architecture in governance reviews (ARB, EAB).
• Gather requirements from business and IT stakeholders for infrastructure design.
• Mentor other architects and produce diagrams/blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and governance.
