Job summary

RBC is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Data Security Automation and Engineering team in Canada. You will mentor engineers, define the technical roadmap for SOAR integration, and drive automation initiatives across incident response workflows.

You will collaborate with global security teams to advance the security posture, manage capacity and priorities, and deliver innovative, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years in development, security automation, or incident response engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Python; knowledge of R, C#, JavaScript, HTML & CSS.
• Experience with databases including SQL and NoSQL; ML model familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Senior Security Automation Engineers; set performance expectations and career development.
• Define technical roadmap for SOAR integration, incident response automation, and platform optimization.
• Oversee playbook design, testing, and refinement for automated incident response at scale.
