Citus HR Solutions is partnering with an established organization to recruit a Director of Human Resources to support its businesses across Canada. This role leads the HR, payroll and benefits functions, overseeing a multi-provincial team and partnering with senior leaders to strengthen HR practices during a period of growth and acquisitions.

The ideal candidate has extensive HR generalist experience (15+ years), proven payroll leadership, and Quebec payroll expertise.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of HR generalist leadership experience.
• Proven payroll department management and year-end reporting.
• Experience supporting multiple Canadian provinces, including Quebec payroll.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions and HR integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR, payroll and benefits team across Canadian provinces.
• Oversee full-cycle payroll including remittances and year-end.
• Ensure payroll and benefits compliance across provinces including Quebec.
• Advise senior leaders on employee relations and workforce planning.
• Lead HR due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
• Oversee recruitment, development and retention initiatives.
• Manage compensation and retirement plan administration.
• Maintain compliance with employment requirements and liaise with legal.
• Improve HR processes and service delivery as the organization grows.
