Job summary

County of Wellington in Ontario seeks a Housing Planning and Policy Analyst to advance affordable housing policy, strategy and program initiatives within the CMSM framework. You will report to the Director of Housing and work on policy development, analysis and cross‑sector collaboration.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in public policy, 3+ years in public policy or social housing, strong research and communication skills, and experience with policy procedures and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in public policy or related field.
• 3+ years in public policy, human services, with social housing experience.
• Strong written/verbal communication and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop social/affordable housing policies and standards.
• Provide policy support to housing providers and programs.
• Conduct research on housing trends and needs.
• Prepare issue notes and recommendations for housing issues.
• Develop strategic housing service planning and projections.
• Monitor compliance with Housing and Homelessness Plan.
• Collaborate with cross-sector policy staff.
