Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation is seeking a Government Relations Analyst (Contract) at our Calgary Head Office. You will support government relations through strong written analysis, issue monitoring, and the preparation of briefing materials for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Political Science or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in government relations or public policy.
• Excellent writing, editing, and analytical thinking for briefing notes.

Responsibilities

• Draft briefing notes, backgrounders, key messages, speaking points and updates for senior leadership.
• Monitor political, legislative and regulatory developments and provide timely analyses.
• Support government engagements by ensuring leadership is well briefed and prepared.
• Synthesize complex information into clear, decision-ready materials.
• Collaborate with legal, regulatory, operations, Indigenous relations and communications teams.
