Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a Business Operations Consultant (BOC) to provide leadership in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and planning across programs. You will coordinate performance data evaluation, guide program Directors, and support major initiatives with forecasting and efficiency analyses.

The role requires CPA designation, a degree in a related field, and at least three years of accounting/financial analysis experience, with strong Excel and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Minimum three years of work experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and adapt to a demanding environment.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis of departmental financial and statistical data, including sensitivity, costing, rate/volume, and scenario analysis.
• Develop business plans in cooperation with Program Directors.
• Develop and utilize tools to analyze costs, activity, and trend information.
• Assist with the preparation of Ministry of Health financial and statistical reporting submissions.
• Lead Directors and Managers through the development of their operating budget, including identification of key risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and verify internal and external financial and statistical reports.
• Understand Ministry of Health financial and statistical reporting rules and funding formulas.
• Represent Financial Planning and Reporting on operation and program subcommittees.
• Utilize financial and reporting software systems such as Meditech, Budman, Power BI and Excel.
• Support corporate projects and strategic initiatives through financial analysis, forecasting, benefits realization tracking, and ongoing performance monitoring.
