Job summary

Umbrella Inc is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the finance function, partnering with the CFO and senior leadership. You will own daily financial operations, reporting, controls, planning, and continuous process improvements to ensure accurate financial information.

The role requires strong technical accounting, 7+ years in finance leadership, and hands-on Sage Intacct experience. Occasional remote work from within Canada is possible, with a preference for onsite in Richmond Hill, ON.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience in leadership roles.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with budgeting and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day finance operations, controls, and reporting.
• Own month-end and year-end close, financial statements, and management reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and reports for CFO and leadership.
• Maintain integrity of general ledger and chart of accounts in Sage Intacct.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, payroll coordination, and tax compliance.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls and procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial understanding and decision making.
