Job summary

Lever, Inc. on behalf of a partner company is seeking a Finance Director (CFO) based in Canada. This senior finance leader will partner with the CEO to drive growth, profitability and cross-border financial operations across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, tax compliance, and building scalable finance processes. You’ll collaborate with commercial, operations, legal, HR, and compliance to support sustainable expansion.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional finance experience with 3+ years in senior leadership (CFO/Finance Director)
• Strong IFRS and international tax knowledge
• Proven financial modeling, analysis, and data-to-decision skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication for leadership and shareholders
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach in fast-paced, scale-up environments
• Experience in telecom/payments/fintech or high-volume transactional businesses is a plus
• Russian language fluency is mandatory; English at C1 or higher

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Provide actionable analysis and recommendations to support growth and profitability.
• Build financial models for markets, business cases, and opportunities with margin visibility.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, and cross-currency operations across jurisdictions.
• Manage liquidity, FX exposure, settlements, receivables and other key financial flows.
• Ensure IFRS compliance, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across regions.
• Coordinate with auditors and external advisors on financial, tax, and regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Routing, HR, Legal, and Compliance to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Continuously build and improve finance processes, controls, and systems.
