Definity Financial Corporation in Toronto seeks a Corporate Development professional to join our team. You will evaluate acquisition targets, build complex financial models, and support transactions across structuring, diligence, and integrations.

You will work with Finance, Investor Relations, Legal to track market trends, prepare materials, and deliver insights for senior leadership. A strong finance foundation and experience in Corporate Development or investment banking are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in finance, accounting, or related fields; corporate development/investment banking preferred.
• Experience in financial services (insurance asset).
• Undergraduate degree with strong academics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate acquisition targets and strategic initiatives for fit, risk, and value creation.
• Build and maintain complex financial models including valuation, synergy analysis, and accretion/dilution.
• Support execution of acquisitions, financings, and divestitures across structuring, diligence, documentation, and integration.
• Monitor industry trends; develop benchmarking databases and presentations.
• Perform credit analysis and covenant monitoring for broker investments.
