Job summary

Toronto Public Library (TPL) is seeking a Senior Manager, Divisional Support and Resource Planning to oversee planning, operations and coordination for the Branch Operations and Customer Experience division. The role reports to the Director and shapes service delivery, partnerships and budgeting.

Responsibilities include leading staff, defining goals, and communicating policy to stakeholders while advancing the library’s strategic agenda in a dynamic urban environment.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in library or information science from an accredited program.
• Minimum seven years of progressively responsible public library leadership experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides organizational vision, leadership and direction for services and projects.
• Plans and evaluates programs to meet community needs and cost objectives.
• Designs and monitors performance measures for the area of responsibility.
• Represents the Library in community and professional organizations.
• Leads marketing of services to local communities and partners.
• Supports fundraising, grants and sponsorship initiatives with the Library Foundation.
• Assists with budgeting, capital and operating plans, and strategic direction.
• Ensures delivery of high-calibre service and coordination within the division.
