Job summary

York Region in Ontario seeks a Director, Operational Planning to lead program planning, budgeting and performance metrics for Paramedic and Seniors Services. You will shape data strategy, quality assurance and capital delivery while collaborating with ITS, IBS and Property Services to meet strategic goals.

You will supervise staff, manage contracts, ensure policy compliance and coordinate reporting to Council and senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years’ program planning and administration experience
• Significant senior managerial experience including capital planning, budget administration and human resource management
• Knowledge of provincial/Regional government structures and procurement processes

Responsibilities

• Directs overall direction, goals and strategy for the division’s operations planning
• Develops and monitors budgets and multi-year plans, grant processes and by-laws
• Leads data strategy development, analytics and quality improvement initiatives
• Oversees contracts, procurement, capital delivery, and asset management in collaboration with Property Services/ ITS/ IBS
• Supervises staff and manages HR, recruitment, performance appraisals and discipline
