Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years progressive and relevant accounting experience.
• CPA designation is required.
• Strong accounting background with ASPE and/or IFRS experience.
• Public accounting experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting departments (AR, AP, Sales Tax, and Accounting) and prepare Oxford Builders’ financial statements and consolidated reporting for Head Office.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes and provide variance analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting procedures; manage external audits and government reporting requirements.
• Partner with operations to integrate technology and reporting tools across departments.
• Manage capital expenditures, fixed assets, and inventory controls; monitor cash flow and financial risk.
• Provide financial and strategic input on business planning, operations, and growth initiatives.
• Manage, train, mentor, and develop the accounting team; foster a high-performance culture.
