Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Ontario team. You will lead month-end reporting, assist with year-end audits, and prepare financial packages for joint ventures and external stakeholders, in a dynamic construction environment.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation, has at least five years of progressive accounting experience with ASPE, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required and ASPE experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in ASPE; public accounting is an asset.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end internal financial reporting processes and financial reporting to management
• Assist with the year-end external audit
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for joint venture partners and other external stakeholders
• Participate in financial reporting, analysis, and control assessments for joint ventures and partnerships
• Perform research on technical accounting matters, and accounting standards analysis for new transactions
• Identify risk areas, research and evaluate best practices, and design, recommend, implement and monitor controls and other processes
• Participate in special projects as they arise, which may involve: acquisition due-diligence and closing, accounting system conversions, and internal control reviews
