EMCO Corporation is seeking a Strategic Development Program Trainee to rotate through warehousing, customer service, procurement, and account management. The program covers shipping, sales, operations, purchasing, and contract management across Canada.

You will gain exposure to project management, procurement, and business development while developing strong customer and vendor relationships in a fast-paced wholesale environment.

Competenze

• Bilingual in French and English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with AI capabilities in wholesale contexts.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a multi-disciplinary program.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Mansioni

• Warehouse phase: warehousing procedures, shipping and receiving.
• Customer Service/Proactive Sales: problem solving, relationship building with customers/vendors.
• Inside Account Mgmt & Procurement: project management and procurement understanding.
• Outside Account Mgmt: business development and expanding the customer base.

Job Description

As a Strategic Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a multi phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.

Specific phases will include (but not limited to):

Warehouse

• A focus on warehousing procedures, shipping and receiving.

Customer Service and Proactive Sales

• A focus on customer problem solving, relationship building with customers and vendors, and providing world class service through our trade counter.

Inside Account Management and Procurement

• Much like the previous phase there will be a focus on customer service but now with the added element of mastering project management and understanding procurement.

Outside Account Management

• A focus on business development and sourcing sales, expanding the customer base of the business and creating strong customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• College and/or University degree
• Bilingual in both French and English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software and AI capabilities as it pertains to the wholesale industry
• Positive attitude and results oriented mindset
• Desire to continuously learn and grow
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
• Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates

Additional Information

Salary Range - $43,000 to $48,000
