Job summary

EMCO Corporation, a leading Canadian construction wholesale distributor, invites you to join its Strategic Development Program Trainee. You will progress through a 4-phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.

Additional duties include developing leadership competencies, building customer and vendor relationships, and contributing to strategic planning with mentorship.

Qualifications

• College or University degree required.

• Strong work ethic and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Progress through a 4 phased program to learn shipping, sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.
• Phase 1 focuses on warehousing procedures, shipping/receiving, and counter support for customer transactions.
• Phase 2 emphasizes customer problem solving, relationship building with customers and vendors, and world-class service.
• Phase 3 targets business development, expanding the customer base, and creating strong partnerships.
• Phase 4 develops leadership competencies, mentoring, and setting vision and strategy.

Job Description

As a Strategic Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 4 phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.

Additional duties will include:

Phase 1 - Warehouse and Customer Service

• A focus on warehousing procedures, shipping and receiving, and counter support for customer transactions.

Phase 2 – Customer Relationships and Procurement

• A focus on customer problem solving, relationship building with customers and vendors, and providing world class service.

Phase 3 – Account Management and Proactive Sales

• A focus on business development and sourcing sales, expanding the customer base of the business and creating strong customer partnerships.

Phase 4 – Leadership and Operations

• A focus on developing leadership competencies, supporting the team through coaching and mentoring, and setting vision and strategy.

Qualifications

45,000 - 50,000 + Involvement in annual Profit Sharing. OTE $65,000 +
