Job summary

Mott MacDonald Canada is seeking a senior, commercially focused leader to establish and grow our Defence and national security business in Canada. Based in Ottawa, this role will define and execute the market strategy, build trusted executive relationships, develop and convert a high-quality opportunity pipeline, and position Mott MacDonald as a valued advisor and delivery partner.

The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of the Canadian Defence environment with an entrepreneurial drive

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior experience in Defence, national security, infrastructure, or professional services in Canada.
• Experience developing account plans, pipelines, and multi-disciplinary proposals.
• Ability to lead through influence and manage senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Canadian Defence market strategy and annual business plan.
• Lead executive relationships with national defence and NATO-related stakeholders.
• Translate policy and investment plans into a qualified pipeline and capture opportunities.
• Build and nurture partnerships with Canadian and international firms and Indigenous communities.
• Ensure governance, forecasting, and delivery readiness across projects.
