Job summary

Definity is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs & Financial Communication to safeguard and advance our corporate reputation while guiding the financial narrative. You’ll partner with Investor Relations, Legal, and executives, coaching the team and shaping high-impact corporate communications and crisis response.

The role requires 8–10+ years in corporate communications in a publicly traded company, strong financial literacy, and outstanding writing for executive audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field; MBA/advanced degree an asset.
• 8–10+ years in corporate communications/public affairs/financial communications.
• Experience in a publicly traded company with disclosure cycles and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to translate complex financial/regulatory information into clear narratives.
• Excellent writing/editing for executive audiences and hold/briefing documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial and regulatory communications with Investor Relations.
• Advise Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and executives on messaging and policy shifts.
• Develop crisis communications playbooks and manage real-time response.
• Oversee mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and major restructurings communications.
• Coach and lead a communications professional within the function.
• Coordinate cross-functional messaging to ensure a unified external voice.
