Job summary

Kibbi is looking for a procurement and estimating professional in Winnipeg to drive accurate cost planning and timely procurement across design to project execution. You will prepare quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and oversee bid coordination with contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities include reviewing design documents, supporting estimates, negotiating with vendors, and tracking long-lead items, with collaboration across our project team.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating and purchasing
• Strong negotiation skills with understanding of cost controls and contracts
• Proficient in reading drawings, specs, codes and contracts
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Excel; tools like Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Knowledge of Manitoba Construction Trade Definitions and MasterFormat
• Attention to detail and teamwork
• Diploma or degree in related fields as listed

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for materials, labour, and equipment
• Support development of construction estimates based on design documents
• Coordinate trade RFBs & RFPs and review bid responses
• Participate in design-assist and value engineering discussions
• Contribute to subcontractor and supplier scope reviews to help level bids
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with vendors and subcontractors
• Track vendor pricing, delivery timelines, and long-lead item requirements
• Maintain organized cost history and procurement logs
• Assist in procurement planning for capital repairs or upgrades in our portfolio
