Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Estimator to take a lead role on our estimating team, owning bids from takeoff through to award.

You will turn drawings into accurate numbers and guide them through to signed contracts. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will coordinate supplier quotes, site visits, and pricing strategy, while handing off completed projects to operations with clear scope input.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a civil field or equivalent estimating experience.
• 5+ years civil construction estimating experience.
• Strong grasp of construction drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Good communication and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and tender documents to build accurate quantity takeoffs, including electronic earthworks modeling.
• Solicit and secure supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Lead site visits and pre-bid meetings, and liaise with clients, owners and engineers to nail down scope.
• Prepare cost estimates and pricing strategy (lump sum and unit rate), and present risks to management before submission.
• Prepare and submit tender packages, proposals, and change orders.
• Hand off awarded projects to the operations team with clear documentation and scope input.
• Maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors, and continue professional development in the role.
