Job summary

FortisBC in British Columbia seeks community and Indigenous relations professionals for the Tilbury LNG Expansion Program and future opportunities. The role involves engaging Indigenous communities, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and guiding consultations to support project progress.

Experience with Indigenous nations, local communities, or both is valued. The position may be temporary or permanent with flexible work options and travel within the Lower Mainland as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in marketing, business, communications or a related discipline.
• At least three years of related experience in community and/or Indigenous relations.
• Strong negotiating, writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating stakeholder engagement for the project.
• Serve as liaison between the project and internal teams to implement consultation requirements.
• Support Indigenous relations and community engagement across service areas.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop engagement plans.
• Help build long-term relationships with Indigenous communities and local partners.
