Job summary

FortisBC is seeking a role focused on community and Indigenous engagement to support socio-economic program development and delivery across BC. You’ll build relationships with Indigenous communities, municipalities and internal teams to advance corporate priorities and strengthen partnership strategies.

The role emphasizes collaboration across the Community and Indigenous Initiatives team and broader organization, supporting PAIR deliverables and long-term social impact goals, with flexible work

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in business, communications or related discipline plus 3+ years in community investment, stakeholder relations, Indigenous engagement or marketing.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support inclusive participation of Indigenous, local, and underrepresented groups on FortisBC projects.
• Coordinate and deliver strategic programs and cross-organizational initiatives.
• Develop SEI, regulatory and consultation reports aligned with deadlines and PAR program requirements.
• Engage with prime contractors, social impact organizations, communities and internal stakeholders to identify SEI opportunities.
• Integrate SEI activities into FortisBC’s strategy and talent initiatives.
• Share best practices to update metrics and PAIR deliverables across the organization.
