Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Communications Coordinator to develop and coordinate accurate and effective communications, enhancing relations with customers, the public, media and communities served. You will craft messaging for print, digital and online channels and coordinate campaigns that align with corporate objectives.

In this role you will manage projects from concept to final product, ensure web content accuracy, and support external awareness of GO Transit, UP Express and PRESTO services.

Qualifications

• A four-year post-secondary program in communications or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in communications or related area.
• Creative writing and editing for communications and marketing.
• Producing print and online material from concept to completion.
• Use of communication tools, including web content and social media.
• Research, organization, planning, and project management.
• Knowledge of media relations, marketing and public relations.
• Strong written and oral communication; liaising with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing integrated communications strategies to support corporate objectives and image.
• Writing and producing messaging for customer communications channels (print, digital, online).
• Coordinating campaigns to enhance relationships with customers, communities and media.
• Supporting external awareness of Metrolinx and its services.
• Identifying opportunities to increase ridership and community engagement through communications.
• Overseeing production of communications plans and materials from concept to final product.
