Job summary

Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to lead internal AWS teams, partner firms, and customer cohorts to deliver cloud products and services that help clients achieve business outcomes.

You will leverage customer-facing skills and technical acumen to translate requirements into digital transformation roadmaps. You will collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups, define scope, and drive best practices to close project gaps while managing complex engagements

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements experience.
• Experience in leading multiple Agile teams (like Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale.
• Experience with large scale IT/digital/business transformation or migration programs in a customer facing role.
• Experience managing engagements using both Waterfall and Agile/Iterative methodologies.
• Ability to obtain Canadian federal security clearance, or valid Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to understand customers’ needs and ensure we exceed expectations in delivering customer outcomes.
• Plan, organize and manage all phases of the project lifecycle including governance plans, schedules, budgets and success criteria.
• Manage engagement goals and lead teams to achieve customers’ business outcomes by handling issues, risks, decisions, dependencies, and action items.
• Work with stakeholders and AWS sales teams to amend the contractual scope, financials and timelines.
• Hold internal and external teams accountable, redirect when needed, and manage customer expectations throughout engagements.
• Ensure teams meet or exceed customer expectations in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Be self-directed and able to contribute in a global team while working independently.
• Demonstrate results orientation and prioritization to meet commitments.
