Infinity Women Secretariat (IWS) in Winnipeg, MB, seeks a full-time Capacity Development Officer to strengthen organizational capacity through strategic planning, governance development, organizational policy, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role leads planning initiatives, coordinates strategic plans and performance measures, and ensures governance documents align with MMF priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe applications.
• Experience in research, analysis, report writing, policy development, and organizational planning.
• Experience developing and implementing strategies, frameworks, policies, or organizational initiatives.
• Experience with strategic planning, governance reviews, or organizational development initiatives is an asset.
• Experience with boards, committees, public sector, not-for-profit, or Indigenous organizations is an asset.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing, analytical, and time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead organizational strategic planning initiatives, including research, facilitation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation;
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of strategic plans, work plans, and performance measures;
• Conduct environmental scans, jurisdictional reviews, and research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities;
• Develop recommendations that strengthen organizational effectiveness and long-term sustainability;
• Lead the review, development, and maintenance of organizational governance frameworks;
• Coordinate updates to bylaws, governance and operational policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures;
• Ensure governance documents align with applicable legislation, the governing authorities and policies of the Manitoba Métis Federation, organizational priorities, and recognized governance best practices.
