Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year diploma in SCM or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Buyer/Purchasing/Expeditor roles.
• Experience with ERP systems; Visual Manufacturing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Reviews approved quotes, proposals, requisitions, and issues purchase orders.
• Ensures PO accuracy on pricing, quantities, specs, delivery terms, and payment terms.
• Expedites POs and follows up on production status, shipments, and delivery commitments.
• Monitors supplier delivery schedules and flags potential delays affecting schedules.
• Communicates delivery status and potential schedule impacts to stakeholders.
• Obtains supplier acknowledgements, shipping information, and required docs.
• Resolves PO discrepancies, delivery issues, shortages, and routine concerns with suppliers and internal teams.
• Coordinates and tracks incoming freight and communicates delivery information to relevant personnel.
• Maintains accurate purchasing and supplier data in ERP and other systems.
• Assists with obtaining routine quotations/prices for standard materials and services.
