Job summary

YESAB’s Whitehorse Designated Office seeks an Assessment District Manager to lead projects across the Whitehorse district and coordinate with federal, territorial and First Nations partners. This permanent role requires strong oversight and stakeholder engagement to ensure transparent environmental assessments in the Yukon.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of YESAB Act and Yukon First Nations agreements.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects with timelines.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Ability to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting all projects assessed in the Whitehorse Assessment District.
• Maintaining relationships with proponents, Government of Canada, First Nations and Yukon Government.
• Ensuring participants understand the assessment review process and how to participate.
• Managing the operations of the Designated Office and supervising staff.
