We are specifically seeking an experienced Strategic Accounts Director, reporting to the VP of Strategic Engineering and Business Development. This role involves leading customer engagements, developing complex engineering proposals, and guiding design development teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product development, customer interface, and leading HW/SW solutions.

What you will do

  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams.
  • Participate in product requirement documentation with System Architects.
  • Engage in customer meetings to showcase Syntronic's capabilities.
  • Define product specifications and architecture with customer teams.
  • Lead proposal and quotation exercises, ensuring accurate estimates.
  • Promote Syntronic's services to potential clients.
  • Ensure development teams understand and deliver on requirements.
  • Evaluate new technologies to enhance offerings and market reach.
  • Participate in detailed design reviews.
  • Assist in hiring top talent in functional areas.
  • Understand product development processes for HW and SW.
  • Research and advise on new capability investments.
  • Identify and resolve risks to project success.

What you need to get the job done

  • Degree in HW/SW Engineering or related field, with at least 15 years of experience.
  • 7+ years leading teams in HW/SW product development.
  • Direct design experience in telecom or networking products.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux development environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions like AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Strong understanding of design development processes.
  • Proven ability to work with partners and suppliers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration and influence.
  • Experience in budgeting, project requirements, and business case development.
  • Ability to document plans and proposals effectively.
