Job summary

Encore Canada in Brampton, Ontario seeks an experienced Mgr Accounting to lead the accounting team and manage the monthly close under US GAAP. You will oversee reconciliations, journal entries, cost allocations, and analytics while developing staff and improving processes.

The role reports to the Controller and collaborates across finance and external audits. The ideal candidate has CPA with 5+ years of accounting experience in $100M+ revenue settings, strong Oracle ERP skills, and proven

Qualifications

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting.
CPA with 5 years total accounting experience (firms + industry).
Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively.
Demonstrated ability to present findings/recommendations to senior management.
Extensive experience with Oracle and similar ERP software.
Excellent interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple staff at different levels.
Attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the accounting team to achieve monthly/ quarterly close deliverables.
Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, cost allocations and account analysis.
Ensure internal controls and GAAP compliance; support internal/external audits.
Improve data flow, processes and efficiency in monthly close.
Collaborate with finance leadership to achieve financial goals.
