Job description

Stores and Distribution Attendant (Casual)

BC Clinical & Support Services

Prince George, BC

Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Stores and Distribution Attendant is responsible for unpacking, validating, storing, replenishing, and distributing supplies and materials within the facility.

What you'll do
  1. Unload and unpack stock, equipment, and materials, match items to requisitions, identify discrepancies, and sort items appropriately.
  2. Fill department requisitions by picking, assembling, and delivering supplies/goods.
  3. Transport stock and materials to required areas, deliver supplies, complete service request paperwork, and log activities.
  4. Rotate stock, check expiry dates, and manage inventory in the warehouse and supply rooms.
  5. Replenish stock based on established levels, make inventory adjustments, and recommend changes.
  6. Perform physical inventory counts.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
  8. Complete forms and maintain records as required.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you bring
Qualifications
  • Grade 10 plus six months recent, related experience or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous-specific mandates and a commitment to cultural safety, anti-racism, and addressing systemic inequities.
  • Understanding of the impacts of settler colonialism and systemic racism on Indigenous Peoples within social and health contexts.
  • Familiarity with legislative obligations and provincial commitments such as TRC Calls to Action, BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, UNDRIP, and related documents.
Core Competencies
  • Understanding of Indigenous-specific and systemic racism, with initiatives to promote a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Awareness of social, economic, and political realities affecting Indigenous Peoples and equity groups.
