Job summary

Vast Auto Distribution in Montreal is seeking a Store Replenishment Specialist to support the Corporate Stores team. You will purchase and coordinate orders, manage supplier documents, and ensure timely delivery while aligning with purchasing policies.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and place orders for goods, materials, and services in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with warehouse inventory managers to ensure prompt delivery and receipt of goods and/or services.
• Prepare and administer RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, and other supplier-related documents.
• Verify invoice information, product details, shipping dates, quantities, and shipping methods for accuracy and compliance.
• Stay informed about pricing trends, market changes, restrictions, or other variables impacting purchasing strategies.
• Communicate lead times required to obtain products or services to various departments.
• Make recommendations and alternatives to the Purchasing Manager regarding shortages.
• Implement alternative arrangements to minimize operational impact during shortages or delays.
• Adhere to purchasing policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Contribution

Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the Store Replenishment Specialist provides support to the Corporate Stores team.

More specifically, the main responsibilities include:

• Purchase and place orders for goods, materials, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate all purchasing activities with warehouse inventory managers to ensure the prompt delivery and receipt of goods and/or services.
• Prepare and administer tenders, requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other supplier-related documents.
• Verify invoice information, product details, shipping dates, quantities, and shipping methods to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Stay informed about pricing trends, market changes, restrictions, or any other variables that may impact purchasing strategies.
• Communicate lead times required to obtain products or services to various departments.
• Make recommendations and suggest alternatives to the Purchasing Manager regarding anticipated or unexpected material shortages.
• Implement alternative arrangements in the event of shortages or delivery delays to minimize operational impact.
• Adhere to and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
