Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Education & Experience: An associate degree in business administration, retail sales, or marketing is preferred; 2 years' experience in staff management and development, or a combination of education and experience.
  2. Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Able to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per Salvation Army Policy.
  3. Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English sufficiently for effective communication with customers, management, and coworkers.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of the Point of Sale System, payroll programs, Microsoft Office Suite, and other systems adopted by the TSA ARC.
  • Ability to give change accurately.
  • Good speaking, hearing, and vision abilities, and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: In conjunction with the Regional Manager, recruit, interview, and recommend for hire store staff. Train and supervise store staff. Provide personnel reviews and approve time and attendance using the current payroll system. Regularly check time logs and follow all current regulations and trainings.
  • Physical Requirements: Must meet physical demands to perform job duties, with reasonable accommodations available. Regularly required to stand, use hands, handle, or feel; hear or talk. Frequently walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, and focus adjustment.
  • Work Environment: Store environment with quiet to moderate noise levels. May be dusty and experience temperature fluctuations. May stand for extended periods.
  • Travel: May be required to travel for work, training, or management meetings.
  • Working Conditions: Typical retail/warehouse environment. Full-time, including weekends and evenings.
