The Team

Founded in 2003, Livestock is Canada's premier lifestyle apparel and footwear boutique, opening its first retail store in Vancouver, Canada. Since then, Livestock has grown across Canada, with stores in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal, alongside an omni-channel online store that ships to customers around the world.

Our team is passionate about fashion, footwear, design, and the culture that surrounds them. We curate high-quality collections from carefully selected brands, including Nike, Brain Dead, adidas, Carhartt WIP, Converse, G-SHOCK, and more, alongside our in-house Livestock label. We believe that style is not defined by exclusivity or price, and this philosophy guides every product we select, every item we design, and every collaboration we create.

At Livestock, our people are at the heart of the customer experience. We're committed to building passionate, inclusive, and high-performing teams who share a genuine appreciation for product, culture, and delivering exceptional service to our community.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, commercially driven Store Manager to lead our Livestock Bute St. location in a fast-paced, lifestyle and fashion-focused retail environment. This role is accountable for the overall performance and success of the store, with ownership across sales, customer experience, people leadership, operational execution, and commercial results.

As both a leader and an active presence on the sales floor, you will lead and develop a high-performing team while delivering an exceptional customer experience yourself. You will drive key business KPIs, maintain the premium visual standards that define Livestock, and build a strong store culture rooted in product knowledge, community, and performance. As the senior leader in the store, you will take full ownership of developing your team, building future leaders, and identifying opportunities to grow the business within your local community.

Key Responsibilities
Store Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team with a strong focus on engagement, accountability, and results
  • Build a strong talent pipeline by identifying, developing, and preparing top performers for future leadership opportunities
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop new and newly promoted team members in partnership with the People & Culture and Talent Acquisition teams
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to support individual and team success
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and high-performance store culture that reflects Livestock's values and commitment to exceptional experiences
  • Develop effective weekly schedules and delegate daily priorities to ensure the team is positioned to meet business needs
  • Lead by example and remain actively engaged on the sales floor, supporting both customers and team members as needed
  • Make sound, business-critical decisions and confidently lead the store in a fast-paced environment
  • Take ownership of overall store sales performance and lead the team to achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, conversion, and customer engagement while maintaining company standards
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through strong product knowledge, genuine customer engagement, and an understanding of current trends and culture
  • Build a strong community culture through meaningful customer relationships and local engagement
  • Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, and the overall customer experience
  • Maintain strong knowledge of current and upcoming product releases, trends, and brand initiatives, ensuring this expertise is shared across the team
  • Lead and support local events, activations, and community initiatives while ensuring alignment with company and brand standards
Store Operations & Commercial Excellence
  • Take full ownership of day-to-day store operations, ensuring consistent execution across inventory, merchandising, visual presentation, and operational standards
  • Drive commercial performance through effective inventory management, stock optimization, and identification of in-store growth opportunities
  • Ensure the store’s visual presentation consistently meets the standards established by the head office team
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, health and safety requirements, and loss prevention standards
  • Oversee accurate and timely biweekly payroll submissions for the store team
Performance & Business Results
  • Take full accountability for achieving store sales, operational, and people performance targets
  • Analyze business data and trends to identify opportunities, solve problems, and make informed commercial decisions
  • Continuously evaluate and improve in-store strategies while maintaining alignment with company standards and priorities
  • Establish clear expectations and hold the leadership and store team accountable for delivering results
  • Partner with Support Office teams to execute key business initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, initiative, and a solutions-focused approach to leading the overall success of the store
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of retail management experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to analyze performance and drive sales results
  • Proven experience in recruiting, coaching, developing, and building strong teams and future leaders
  • Passion for fashion, footwear, sneakers, and lifestyle retail
  • Confidence in making business-critical decisions and managing multiple priorities independently

  • Experience using business data and reporting to identify trends and opportunities
  • Strong proficiency with G-Suite and other business systems
  • Comfortable working with retail technology and iOS-based programs
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak trade periods
What we Offer
