Job description

As part of the Subway Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things :

  • Providing an excellent guest experience
  • Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
  • Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
  • Managing inventory and money control systems
  • Coordinating local marketing initiatives, including community outreach
  • Recruiting staff and delegating daily tasks to team members
  • Maintaining standards of restaurant safety and security
  • Being a team player

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of :

  • Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
  • Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed, including being aware of local and national health and food safety codes
  • Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
  • Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
  • Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring the restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
  • Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education : High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.

Experience : A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

  • Physical : Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system / cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
