Job summary

Nch’ḵay̓ Development Corporation seeks an experienced Store Manager for Squamish Valley Gas Bar (SVGB). You will lead all Retail Customer Service Clerks, drive sales, manage pricing, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across fuel islands and the convenience store.

The role requires 3–5 years in retail management, strong leadership, and a focus on customer service. You’ll report to the Manager, Retail Operations and contribute to strategic planning and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business, Retail Management, or related field is an asset.
• 3–5 years of experience in retail management or supervisory role, preferably in fuel, convenience store or related environment.
• Experience managing staff scheduling, payroll records, and performance reviews.
• Experience with POS systems and cash reconciliation.
• Experience with inventory management and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing security procedures, cash control, and shift reconciliation.
• Ensure POS system is current with products/pricing and daily transactions reconcile.
• Prepare and submit sales, payroll, and reporting information to Finance on schedule.
• Set and monitor pricing for fuel and merchandise based on market checks; report local pricing biweekly.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, and vendor relationships to support sales targets.
