Job summary

Loblaw’s Fortinos franchise in Brampton, Ontario is hiring an HR & payroll coordinator to be the go-to contact for colleagues with HR questions and to handle basic payroll and accounts payable tasks. You will also support recruitment for hourly staff, post jobs, interview, and conduct orientations while keeping employee data accurate.

You’ll be accountable for office duties as advised by the Store Manager and aim to build diverse teams that foster an inclusive workplace and belonging.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities—able to manage multiple priorities.
• Be a demonstrated teammate committed to contributing to the team results.
• Must be available to work days and weekends.
• Familiarity with company systems would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Be the contact point for colleagues for any HR related questions.
• Be responsible for basic accounting duties – payroll and accounts payable.
• Be proactive in the recruitment cycle of the hourly workforce – job postings, interviews, and orientations.
• Be diligent in maintaining employee database to ensure accurate information.
• Be accountable for office duties as indicated by Store Manager.
• Be constantly on the outlook for great talent to join our team.
