Advance Auto Parts in Port Colborne, Ontario is seeking a Driver to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers, pick up returns, and drop off sales flyers while promoting current programs. You will also collect credit accounts and build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, contributing to CPP insights from deliveries.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and automotive parts knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Automotive parts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.

• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.

• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.

Essential Job Skills Necessary For Success As a Driver

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques

Prior Experience That Sets a Driver Up For Success

• Automotive parts experience is preferred

Compensation Range: The range of expected compensation for this role is between 17.60 CAD and 18.85 CAD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered to a successful candidate depends on multiple factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
