Job summary

Clearpoint Health Network's Rockyview Surgical Centre in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) Technician. The role involves cleaning, disassembly, reassembly and sterilization of surgical supplies and reusable devices, using aseptic techniques and QA testing.

The position is full-time (0.8) on-site at Rockyview with competitive wages, health and dental benefits, vacation and personal days, RRSP and DPSP, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (read/write/speak).
• Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing program.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, assemble, function test, package, sterilize and store reusable medical devices.
• Maintain compliance with infection control policies and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure patient safety and equipment readiness.
• Report problems to supervisor and participate in education programs as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and support new staff orientation.
