Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Fort McMurray is seeking a Surgical Processor to handle decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies and instrumentation, following aseptic principles and Universal Precautions.

You will ensure equipment works, perform quality testing and report issues to supervision. This is a Regular Full Time position with a Fort McMurray allowance as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program.
• Completion of a Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or CSA certification.
• Recent MDR experience within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment and instrumentation.
• Apply aseptic technique and universal precautions to prevent HAIs.
• Ensure instrumentation and equipment are in proper working order and perform QA testing.
• Report problems to the supervisor or designate.
